This year was the year I started scrapbooking, so I decided when it came to the festive season I wanted to try my hand at homemade crafty Christmas cards.

I had a lot of the basic tools I needed, like pritt stick and glue dots (lifesavers!) so I gradually started to build up some Christmas embellishments for my scrapbooking collections. I brought a lot of bits from the Works, they have some lovely scrapbook size Christmas themed pages which I was able to cut down to card size.

But a few weeks ago, I brought a beginners kit. I spotted it in aldi and it had all of the bits and pieces I would need to get going to make Christmas cards. It was only £4.99 and included enough for 52 cards with papers, die cuts, messages, blank cards and envelopes.

I used a mix of my items from the Works and from my Aldi kit. The process of card making, much like scrapbooking, was very fun and relaxing. I’m by no means an expert at this kind of thing, but I was pleased with how they turned out!
