Disney OOTD: Villains

I’ve been thinking about what to wear on my next jaunt to Disneyland Paris for a long time now, and with less than ten days to go I thought I’d share some of my Disney OOTD’s.

I’ve always been Team Villain when it comes to Good vs. Evil – I guess that’s what makes me a proud Slytherin. For some reason, clothing inspired by the darker Disney creations always jumps out at me over perfect pink t-shirts proclaiming me to be a Princess. I have built up a huge range of clothes and accessories featuring villains from the Disney universe and I wanted to put them together in an outfit for one of the days of my trip.

In recent years, skirts weren’t on my radar whatsoever. Before I got a couple of 50s inspired items I just didn’t own them. The only style of skirts that fit my figure are ones designed to be worn high waisted style – in fact I only purchased this one for a Halloween themed blogger event last year. I found it on eBay, from China, and ordered on a whim spending the next four weeks knowing I’d made a mistake and it wouldn’t fit me. However when it arrived by some bit of dumb luck it did fit! Though it’s a little short and let’s be honest – a little shabby – I really liked the way it looked.

When I started thinking about my outfits for DLP I knew I had to incorporate it – tulle skirts are the ultimate Disney Parks accessory. So being a darker colour I knew it would be perfect with some of the aforementioned Villain pieces I own. I decided to pair it with my grey slouchy Ursula top and I just kept remembering all the awesome Ursula accessories I own! First I added in my shell necklace, and finally I remembered this amazing handmade bow I brought two years ago from Where Seams Come True.

Last but not least I couldn’t forget my trusty Disney Villains Vans. They’ve been a good friend to me for the past couple of years and couldn’t be any comfier. I’ll be rocking my matching backpack, too. I’m just on the lookout for some frilly black socks to pair with them now!
