Throughout the month of August I will be taking part in a poetry challenge. Today’s challenge is to write a cinquain on a topic of your choice.

I had to Google what a cinquain is and it turns out it’s a poem with five lines (none of which rhyme) and each line has a set number of syllables: two, then four, then six, then eight and finally two.

There are
Few things like you
You are special, unique
I am lucky that I found you
You’re mine.

Have you ever heard of a cinquain before?
